Gins Chinese Restaurant in San Antonio

Service was alright. Had a roach climb up my chairWhile eating. Eating area not very clean and pleasant.Need to post a sign not to have any electric devices Blasting away, such as children playing on tablets.Couldn't even enjoy a conversation while eating.As for food , the fried Dumplings are awesome.But as for fried rice not very good.

We love Gins! Better than Good food, great value, great service. Dedicated, family run business. Been coming here for years and dont plan to stop. Try it. . You'll love it!

It the only Chinese resturant that we love to eat at, it is, in our opinion the, best in San Antonio.

The food here is amazing and they have both traditional and original dishes. I've been eating here since I was about 9 yrs old. My favorite dish is the salty shrimp...it's so good I dream about it. They give you so many large, meaty shrimp. I wish they would devain them but it doesn't take away from the flavor. The orange scallops are fantastic too. The orange sauce is amazing. If you want white meat orange chicken, ask for the lemon chicken and request orange sauce on the side instead. Great prices, super fast, friendly staff. I hope this place is here forever.

The food in particular was delicious. With difficulties finding restaurants that are open for dining, it was a pleasant surprise that they hadn't lost the quality just to stay open as so many have.

Beef noodles soup at Gin’s. Finally took my cousin’s recommendation and tried out this Chinese restaurant. There is a chinese menu that is written in traditional Chinese character (hanzi). Where u can get this noddle dish, along with fried dumplings, chinese broccoli, and possibly water spinach.

I love this place! Always my go to when craving Chinese food. Great prices and great customer service! Love their hospitality!

This place is amazing my family has been coming here and we love it so much they had my baby shower here we are regulars to the point were they know our whole family amzing place and workers shoutout 2 papa gin, mama gin ,sinja, chong

This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant. I have been coming here since I was little and now get to bring my children. They always treat us like family and have the best service.

I love Gin’s. My family has been going to eat here for over twenty years. Everywhere I go, the combination fried noodles is never as good as it is at Gin’s. The smoked chicken is another really good one. Our usual is always combination fried noodles, almond chicken, and either green beans and beef or the smoked chicken. Great egg rolls and rangoons too! I’ve been to Chinatown in NYC and I still would say Gin’s is my favorite place. Totally a guilty pleasure place.

Great food at a great price. There dumplings are out of this world. I've had almost everything on the menu, I can say I haven't had a dish I didn't like.

Gins has been a San Antonio tradition for at least 30 years. The food is good and consistent. The staff is friendly. The prices are more than fair.

I was not impressed. The orange chicken was not so orange. There was a strong fried taste. The brown rice was more like colored rice. I will come again and update my review with a different entry.

Great dumplings and beef noodle soup, plus cef specials are normally good.

Gins has been around forever. A really good family owned local resturaunt. Good prices are a bonus.

After I left home, I felt incredibly homesick, so I turned to Gin's Chinese Restaurant. Though partially obscured by nostalgia, there is something special about Gin's that makes it feel like home. The food is excellent, the wait staff are top-notch, and the environment feels welcoming. I strongly recommend coming here if you feel lonely and in need of comfort or just good food!

NO STARS! BEWARE!! would recommend this spot but caught food poisoning TWICE.. (first time wasnt sure it came from them) ate here again 3mths later annnnd same result except SECOND TIME WAS WAY WORSE.. BEWARE!! BEWARE
